Gary Neville criticised Manchester United’s board after the defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, accusing them of ‘naivety’ in handing Jose Mourinho a new contract.Mourinho, who was appointed United manager in 2016, was handed a long-term extension in January just 18 months into his spell in the Old Trafford dugout.3

There is not that experience or knowledge in the football club above him to be able to manage or control him and handle him.“His agent was out last week, at press conferences they don’t know what he is going to say next, and they don’t know what to do with him.”3
